Love
& Loss is endemic to our experiences while we live in a home,
town, city, state or province, nation, world and universe. Love &
Loss are binaries in various forms. For our experiences, we can
consider them gains and detractors, dreams and nightmares, hopes and
fears. Love & Loss is like a human interpretation of the Doppler
redshift and blue effects found on Earth and in the universe. When we
feel love, it's a like plane rushing towards us in a blueshift, it's
sound roaring towards us and exciting our heart's content; time
shifts slowly, and our hearts swell at it's impending arrival. Loss
is the very same plane redshifting, admonishing it's stay and leaving
us broken and confused; it leaves behind a vapor trail like a string
of fragmented memories, rushing away all too quickly. Yet, between
the binary of redshift and blueshift, a moment is secured for us no
matter if it's ill or divine. The moment of a loving arrival or loss
and an immediate departure from mindfulness is captured in early,
18th
century women's writings.
