Analysis
Anne Bradstreet was
a writer who took inspiration from the world around her, and her
religious faith. Mediations, specifically the 'May 13' piece,
Bradstreet takes stock in not only the wonder of nature around her
but the diving gift it is from God. This piece takes on almost a
classical note in which she reflects on and describes the changing of
the seasons and how that intern affects her life, and praises who God
for his bounty. The story not only reflects a love of nature, but a
love of her faith as well.
